Thought For The Day

Through all indignities that arise
that cut so sharply deep inside
We manage still to hold together
Our hearts are braced against foul weather
When tides that rip can pull us under
we stand our ground and do not plunder
under sea to coral reefs
that maine our minds of our beliefs
The souls of those we dare to touch
are treaded softly: they mean so much
Each precious life a treasured find
so who are you to be unkind
So when in doubt or when we fall
humanity’s hand will heed our call
for through the thunder that crashes above
We hold our heads high for still there is love.
